A message dated May 23, 1994, was received stating the Governor has            
signed the following bill and is transmitting the engrossed and enrolled       
copies to the Lieutenant Governor's office for permanent filing:

"An Act amending the Alaska Land Act to define the term `state                
selected land' for the purpose of recognizing mining locations, and            
giving retrospective effect to the amendment; and providing for an
